Idiots guide to connecting an ICOM to inpa/Winkfpt?

OK i've been fighting with this for hours now and ready to give up. I have a factory ICOM and cable, so that not the issue. i downloaded Itool radar but when i try and run it, give me an error message "could not find main class com/nubix/ivm/standsaloneprototyp/main/servicemonitoralternative". changed std:obd to remote in .ini, no deal. Any help would be really appreciated as to what im doing wrong here. thank you.

That's bad advice, because MOST async is for using the MOST connection... The dme he is trying to flash isn't on MOST network.

Download easyconnect and set remote profile to your ICOM ip and OBD_ab625.

And of course click the ICOM Lock button in easyconnect.

Everything you guys are saying is over my head. Please like explain it from start to finish as I've never done this before. I brought and Icom home from work and at work in Ista connection manager it lists the ip addy for the Icom so i wrote it down. Don't know if this is locked to it or it changes. Where does one find this easyconnect? Also why am I getting the error message with itool radar?

IP address will probably be different when connected to your own computer or network.

For IToolRadar, try installing the java runtime environment

The way I do it is I set the interface type to Remote:base in ediabas.ini (others will work too, but I settled on base). Then I open Remote.ini, and under [Base] I set the IP Address to match the ICOM. Then if you reserve/lock the ICOM, it should work with all the ediabas apps.
