So I've been doing a lot of research online on this matter but can't seem to find a solid answer that'll solve my predicament. I have an 04' BMW M3... recently attempted to install a pair of R100 Sparco seats into the car and had a brain fart as I forgot to disconnect the battery to avoid my current issue... my airbag light on the dash is on. I'm trying to find a trustworthy tool to reset it since I don't want to just go run off to the dealership for a reset in the case that my light comes up again later. Any recommendations for a reset tool that'll work on a 2004+ model E46 would be much appreciated. All the tools I've seen thus far are up to 2003. Also if anyone else has already done this project with success (aftermarket seat install without error codes/dash lights) let me know; I'm trying to keep the stock seat belt equipment and add Sparco harnesses later. Thanks in advance!
You need INPA or PA Soft
I've looked into PA soft but everything I've been reading states it needs a computer running windows XP or older in order to work. What's the INPA like?
INPA is a great diag tool. On the e46 it uses a USB cable. Most INPA install packages include the entire suite including NCS Expert that can be used to code different modules in the car. INPA is very easy to use.

Why not buy a snapon solus ultra/ solus edge? If you are serious about car repair, this tool will be extremely valuable to you. And it will reset your airbag light
