My parking brake on my 2009 X5 is acting up. Parking light stays on, and warning about it may roll? The switch was working fine, just did this today. What do I need to check, Switch, fuse maybe?

Sounds like your EMF ( electric parking brake ) has a problem. Are you able to pull any codes?

No, not showing anything except the parking symbol. I pushed the switch on the mileage reset and held it for at least 5 seconds.

You'll need to have someone with the proper diagnostic equipment pull the diagnostic codes. There's not a way for you to check them.

Is there a way I can reset it? I pulled the manual cable in the boot to make sure they are not holding the car back.
