The pressure adjustment does indeed work on mine. A few times after I've shut the car off and it does that loud whirring (I had NO idea what that was for the first months of ownership) and I've left the wiper arms up after cleaning the car, I could hear the motor making that whirr and see the drivers side arm adjusting itself. It's also how I found out what that noise was and that these cars had wiper tension motors.
I'll adjust the tension to be tighter today and see what happens. Knowing my luck though, it'll fix it but I won't know since it won't rain for a long time or something.
It seems to be solved now. After all the tension adjusting, angle measuring, Rain X applications, changing refills etc I replaced the OEM blade with a new one that came with an adapter for the inverse hook of the arm. It doesn't look anywhere near as nice as the original blade but the results are perfect, no chattering at all and nice silent wipes.
That being said, I'll still be on the hunt for a OEM blade but until then I'm happy with this one. I also appreciate all the help everyone gave in this thread.
