Hello folks - while swapping pedals for the manual conversion on the Touring, I have come upon some unscheduled rust repair. Can't say I'm entirely surprised but - it is what it is. That said, the mounting bracket for the kick down switch in front of the accelerator pedal mount has broken off. the area beneath is in bad shape. Is there anyone with a photo I can reference, or tips on which position this is supposed to mount?
Thanks in advance!

Taking a stab here - but this way seems to make the most sense

I can take a pic of mine tomorrow, but why would you need it on the 5-speed?

The way you have it positioned doesn't make sense. You have it over a good spot on the floor. Can't you line up the shape of the stuff on the bracket to the rust hole and see how it fits? I agree with Demet, why put it back?
On the factory 5 speed cars there is a threaded stopper that replaces the kick down switch - the factory put it there for a reason, so I'm just trying to transfer all the necessary items over. I imagine the stopper is there so that at WOT, it doesn't place any further strain on the accelerator cable and stretch/break it. I know in the bottom pic i have it moved over - there's not much left in the area where it's supposed to go so, that's the best i can do at the moment.
