Hey guys, I blew a head gasket on my 1994 325is, I pulled the head decked it and replaced the necessary gaskets. I got it all reassembled and running perfect but two days later the car dies on me in the middle of the road going 50 with a huge white cloud out the back. I pop the hood and I see coolant coming out the cone filter, I pop that off and see coolant coming out the intake manifold as well as out the pcv, I check the dipstick and it looked like oil but was the consistency of water. Basically I filled my crankcase but how? Cracked block or head maybe? I used a fel pro head gasket so it's not junk. And I changed the oil after doing the headgasket. Right now I'm lookin at picking up an m52 for $125 and just swapping it in.

Did you get the head checked for cracks and warping? It's not optional, unfortunately.
There is very little chance your block is damaged. Very very very little chance. M50 and m52 engines are cheap enough that they are almost disposable. That m52 will need to be converted to OBD1. It might be better just to look for an m50 or even an s50. OBD cobversion isn't difficult or extremely expensive. It's just more money out of your pocket.

I'd go with the m52. Especially seeing you have a m50 sitting there. I think the only difference is the coolant pipe, and a couple sensors in the head which you have.
