    '84 320i & 633, 87 325e,

    Rumbling Noise Emanating from Rear Upon Take Off

    Every time I start out from a stop sign/light in our 5-speed '84 633 lately, I hear/feel a low rumble coming from somewhere beneath and behind me. I have replaced all of the rubber in the rear end (except the control arm bushings), and that includes the diff mount. The driveshaft was rebuilt 2 - 3 years ago, including new giubo and hanger bearing.

    Any suggestions?

    Yeah, bad gumbo can definitely cause some rumbling...
