hello good sirs and possible misses,
i am sorry if i am unable to explain the idea in my mind well, if you are confused ask questions so i can try and resolve the disconnect.
i have seen some of those led projector style bulbs and was wondering if they have an integrated beam cut off zone like newer, nicer headlights have?
i do not expect a solution to be as crisp as the image linked above but if there is a 9006 bulb which people can buy and have a nice cut off i will be left no choice then to buy some. i do not want to buy any fancy pants housing with projectors to get this effect. i was hoping some of the projector style led bulbs may have this integrated option or maybe i could place some aluminum tape on the projector lens of the following bulbs to create a similar effect, no?
thank you for your time and sharing your knowledge!
The bulbs do not create the cutoff, the projector shroud does.
This.
The cut off has nothing to do with the type of bulb or projector.
The little piece of metal that sits between the projector and the bulb is what creates it. I even created a DIY a few years ago making this plate solid to give a straight no uptick cut off, but images are prob no longer hosted.
Then the eye like glass of the projector flips the light upside down much like your eye flips images resulting in the cut off on top instead of the bottom.
No bulb will do this,
