2000 528i, had a small crack in my upoer radiator hose, I replaced it, and now it's overheating. When it happened, I opened the radiator cap slowly over and over again, and it cooled down. Even put another 15 miles on it, but the next day, it overheated again. Any ideas on what's causing it?
Did you bleed the system after changing the hose? I assume there is still air in the system. https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...ystem-Bleeding

The I6 is very difficult to bleed. Follow the instructions carefully.

I've found this procedure to be the best for the I6. It actually agrees with what's in the Bentley. Ignore the 'good ole boy' atmosphere. Remember to check the coolant level in the overflow tank the next morning.
