They almost got it, messed up the nose. They really need to bring back that original design team

Not digging it. Hope this is not the real final design.

I'm a big fan of big coupes. I don't dislike this rendition right off the bat...I think it looks more bad @ss than the previous two 6 series generations...but i'm still digesting the fact it would be badged as an 8 (as if we had a say). Waiting for many more pix to make up my mind.
This kind of reminds me of a Maserati granturismo...a la german. Stouter, edgier. The front does remind me of the standard 8 series bumpers....the regular 8 front end is pointy until you add a CSi front. Maybe the M8 will have a different frontfasciaa?

Anyone else get that nagging feeling that on may 26th were going to see a very very odd car labeled as an 8 Series. Concepts usually only lend some design to the car, I'm expecting a very boxy so to say look on the new 8 series and i really hope I'm wrong. Aside from that concept looks good.

Dragon, what safety regs are you talking about body-design wise?
Well let's see what they produce. Either way, if the new car is a winner or a loser, our E31 Eights still win because of the worldwide notority and increased awareness it will bring to our community. Personally I'm hoping it's a winner.
Make the kidney grilles concave, and you'll have what looks very much like a Maserati GranCoupe...
Nice car, crap nose.

pedestrian safety regulations dont really permit a very low nose anymore
I love that design - esp the rear end - I wish the nose was lower/sleeker but - regulations would prevent that I reckon

Looks aggressively good from this angle, but the front grilles and the front hood hump need to be reworked for this 8 to be a great looking super coupe.

Did you guys really think a 2018 model was going to look like a car designed in 1986? -__-
I will wait to see it first hand in person before rendering an opinion but in general, it looks pretty amazing in this video:
Those side mirrors will never make it past the DOT. Where are the engine pictures BMW!!!???

geesus, 8 series badge aside...that is one good looking coupe. "The gentlemans racer"? That's stomping into Aston Martin territory....me digs!

Wow, can't believe all the people who dislike it! This car looks awesome to me, totally feeling it.
