Warning lights

I just recently bought an 03 2.5 Z4.As it only has 55,000 on it I consider it a very good purchase. After driving around for a bit, I get a beep and the yellow brake light comes on along with another light. They stay on until I turn off the car and then restart it. Any ideas ? I've yet to take it to a mechanic.

Is the other light the traction control light? Looks like a triangle with a circle around it?

I had the two lights come on in my car as well. After a lot of googling I discovered one common issue where either 2 or 3 lights come on (Brake, DSC, ABS). Here's one video I found.

You may want to check your battery. A weak battery will cause faults lights.

I'll check the fluid out. They came on after 40 miles, drove today and no light came on. I only drive the car once a week or so, it has a new battery. Maybe I need to hook up my trickle charger in between drives.

Not unless something else is going on. You should easily be able to go 2-4 weeks and it should still start up just fine. Some part places have code readers to rent/lend, or you may be able to borrow one from a friend. Some indy's don't charge to read the codes if you're doing something else, the dealer does charge.
