    '13 F30 335i "sport line"

hey guys! its been a long minute since iv been here lol. anyway, i traded in my E60 528i for a F30 335i a few months ago & boy it feels amazing! before acquiring the car, i was assigned to it in my dealership (i work as a certified BMW tech) when it came straight from the auction & i was overall impressed with how clean it looked. i checked the carfax my dealership provided, saw the service history was completely clean & always maintained at the BMW dealership; previous owner financed it in atlanta, georga (I'm in south florida) who drove nearly 18k miles per year (got the car with 73k miles) making me the 2nd owner. the car only needed oil filter housing gasket (the usual), calibration to the PDC + 360 cameras, clean up the blower motor housing (was making weird noises) & some cosmetic touch ups. i liked it so much, i went ahead & got a good deal for it from my dealership with a discount & my trade in ($5k for the E60) for total $18k. overall its been the sweetest car ever. the N55 pulls amazing & the 8 speed auto feels just like, if not, close to a DCT like on some M cars iv driven before. anyway, first few mods are very basic. i gave it a oil flush, coolant flush, brake flush & constantly doing 3k oil changes with additives until i feel the motor is clean enough to drain the sludge out the motor. i will resume to 6-7k miles oil intervals. exterior wise i gave it an optional sport trunk lip, AC schnitzer roof spoiler, "335i" badge delete, body colored side reflectors & tinted rear reflector. i think this would effectively make these F30s look so much more cleaner looking like a euro spec model & add some sportiness to it. i also disabled the exhaust flaps to pist off my neighbors & deleted the resonator for a more growly sound. iv also noticed everyone wants to do the "m-sport pack." & while thats nice, i think i will stick to the sport line OEM look & go for the Alpina look in the future with the front chin spoiler & wheels with a suspension drop. lmk what do you guys think & those of you who have a N55 powered F30 lmk what are some cool things to do with these motor to make simple power (I'm aiming at least up to 380bhp) & the best kind of suspension, brakes, differential, & coding mods that are essential to enhance these cars. cheers

How did you remove the exhaust flap?

Welcome to the f30 335i. You'll be surprised how many cars it is quicker than. My best track time was a 13.4 @ 101, and people say I can get even lower with no modifications.

i simply unplugged the exhaust flap connector that runs to the DME. doing so, you will have a error code when you plug your car with a scanner, & you'd have to make sure the flaps are on open position. some people have different methods, but i did this to retain the OEM muffler in case i want to put it back on.
