Okay so today I just purchased my 07 550i and I was dumb enough not to check the headlights before I bought the car. After I got off work today, a adaptive headlight malfunction light popped up along with a right low beam light malfunction. When I turn lights on the "angel eyes" are on and other driver side bulb, but the passenger side is not. When I turn on the brights the driver side bulb gets brighter and the passenger bulb is still off. But when I turn the brights on by pulling the lever towards me to manually hold the brights on the angel eyed bulbs are the lights that turn on. This makes me wonder what bulbs are supposed to be my "brights" or maybe they are supposed to be like that? And if the are supposed to be like that, how do I fix the adaptation malfunction

Well pulling the lever towards you are your flash to pass lights or as the car is usually set up your DRL lights. Your high beams you would push the lever away from you.

Your warning is due to adaptive headlight malfunction. 9 times out of 10 your stepper motor control unit on the bottom of the headlight is green from water intrusion and needs replaced
What exactly would i be looking for to find what you are talking about... Im not sure what it looks like
Here's what I found: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...it-63127189312
