Having a bit of an issue with a no start. Shut my car off when I got home and went inside. Next morning go to fire her up and it wouldn't start, only turn over. Currently not getting spark or fuel.
Pulled the computer out, doesn't smell burnt and there is no visible water damage. Any ideas on what this could be, is this pointing to the crank position sensor?
I had a similar problem, ended up replacing all the sensors. While I think my issue was the fpr, you may have a dead pump or dme as you suggest. Get out the volt meter, pull the rear seat out and check to see if the pump is getting current. Check and see if your coils are getting current. If neither are getting current you could have dead dme or a short/faulty ground.
Just went out and tested the crank sensor and it's dead. And that's after removing the seat and checking both fuel pumps and coils. Recently replaced the fuel pressure regulator and everything seems fine with that.
I'm hoping that this fixes it. Most of the sensors are new and I have replace them already including TPS, both knocks, cam position sensor, couple other in there too as well as fuel filter.
These were all replaced while they were running too just maintenance items.
But you got current at the pump and coils? If you did it's most likely not the DME. Replace the crank sensor, I got a new one and it made a world of difference.
Did you figure this out?
how many Ohm does a good one (the new one) have ?
Will it start and run for a few seconds on starting fluid?
No need for that just install the new cps and see if she goes.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, CPS should read 540 +/- 10% not 1200 as Bentley manual states..
Will it start and run for a few seconds on starting fluid?
So I replaced it last night, car runs but it now has a misfire that it didn't have before. -.-

Also, yes it was a pain to get it out mostly because of built up old dirt but it came out with a little wiggling. Still gonna have to look for the cause of this misfire after work today
So I threw a code for MAF sensor, but I'm not sure if it's because I has it disconnected or because it's actually bad. Going to pull all coils tommorow morning and check for oil in the plug tubes. Doesnt explain the random misfire though unless a bad MAF will cause a misfire, it still misfired when I disconnected the MAF also.
