I personally don't understand why F1 fans feel that they need to impose how they feel onto Kimi. Perhaps it's because he doesn't show a lot of emotion, so the armchair psychologists come out to tell everyone how he feels for him. I think he's always been a straight shooter, so I'll just take him at his word.

Yeah, he was only worrying about not getting passed. That's all we got from that video clip. Kimi's pace was nowhere near Seb's so I guess that's what he was focussed on. Fact is that he didn't have the race pace to even challenge Seb. The rest is semantics.

It's actually an incredibly lazy bit of "psychological analysis:"

2015: Lewis makes unhappy face on podium = Unhappy about late call to box
2016: Ric makes unhappy face on podium = Unhappy about botched pit stop
2017: Kimi doesn't smile on podium = Unhappy about team orders!

Like you said, the guy just doesn't emote much. Doesn't mean there's something sinister at work.

Where did I say "more than Monaco"? Sochi was a huge blow. It clearly affected him at Monaco. Then, another huge blow came at Monaco as he was still reeling from the first.
