Moldable to get in to the small space. Trim off the excess before it hardens. Awesome stuff

I considered this but it seemed like a mess in case I needed to cut the key fob and do this again (not sure how long battery lasts... 3-5 years?)

I'll try a smaller amount. Thanks!

+1 to this. I used it to seal up my key. Its very easy to work with. Its like putty so you dont need to worry about any kind of mess. Roll it out to a long skinny roll, apply it around the edges and press the other half of the FOB onto it. A little exacto knife around the edge to trim off the excess and it looks perfect. It shouldnt be a problem to cut into if you ever need to replace the battery in the future. Its should certainly be easier than cutting the factory sealant.

Sugru worked remarkably well. Thanks for the recommendation!

$12x2 for an ebay replacement battery (exact replica so no cutting or fussing)
    $12 for sugru molding

$36 for a 2 key fob battery replacement. Sure as hell beats $400.

Nice! Glad it worked out. I actually just recently did this myself and had some
Sugru laying around from another project so thought I'd give it a try. Been about two months and haven't had an issue
