I am converting my 1989 325iX from an auto to a manual and have a question about the installation of the flywheel. Does the spacer in the attached picture stay? It came off the back of the crankshaft on the auto car. I know the thin "shim" stays as that correctly locates the starter but, I am not certain of this thicker spacer and if they are exactly the same on the auto and 5-speed transmissions.

I recently put a new clutch in my single mass flywheel early eta. The only parts involved were: crank face-->flywheel-->spacer (appears similar to part #9, but check part numbers to be sure)-->flywheel bolts. Then clutch disk-->pressure plate-->pressure plate bolts. That's it.
