    02 x5 speed sensor help!

Hi, I was changing out the speed sensor in my 02 x5. .. the black end of the sensor was melted into the hub assembly? (Just bought the BMW). I can get it out.. however I feel like I'm going to damage what that end is plugged into... I'm not sure if it will or not and or what part I would have to replace if it is damaged. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please note it is the black end.. not the blue connector

    Welcome to the Forum!

As far as I know, there shouldn't be a connector directly on the sensor where it goes into the hub. There should be about a foot or two worth of cable that takes the wire up to the body where it connects, and this applies to front and back.
