Hello!
Two days ago my car overheated while driving on the freeway. (Went to red, stopped the car after about 3 minutes). When i checked the coolent level, it was all dryed up. Refilled and drove home. On the way home i noticed that the temp guage didnt go all the way to the middle. It stopped at about 40%.
So I have found the leak (drain screw at bottom og engine block), blead the system, and now hot air is blowing as it should and coolant stays inside of the system. But stil the temp guage only goes to 40%...
Any experiece/thought about the probel. Car seams normal except this.
Thanks in advance!
Hello and welcome to the forum! That sounds normal, you're not always going to have the temp gauge exactly in the middle. If it's at 40% like you said, that shouldn't cause alarm.
