I installed a $50 kit off of eBay about 10 years ago (low beams only) and have been very satisfied with the results. Plug-and-play. I went with 3800k to keep original look, if you go above 5000k they get more blue.

I've got HID kits in my lowbeams and fogs. Such a massive improvement in night-time visibility.

I made my own kit using Cnlight bulbs and Xylux ballasts. They're the best of the China made products.
And don't let anyone fool you... Almost every kit out there uses Chinese components, and there are fake Xylux and Cnlight stuff out there too.
