Ideally looking for cars worth restoring with failed engines other mechanical issues, paint and body damage. But would not be averse to parts cars too.
Will come pick up with a trailer no problem. Let me know what you have....

Kind of a long drive with a trailer towing a car across the Atlantic, and then the long drive to California after removing the flotation devices!! WOW!!! Seriously though, with the cost of shipping a non-running car, the slipping dollar, and rising values in the last 18 months in Europe of e31 cars.....this seems like a difficult money making proposition.

LOL, who said the car will be shipped to California?
Car is staying in Europe, my friend has a restoration shop there.

That is understandable, with the nice typical two or three owner car with under 120K kilometers, and with good service history that sold for about 10K-15K Euros in spring 2015.....now costing 25K euros and more!!!

Autos too. Classic Data (Germany) has Note 2 base model e31's pencilled in at 26700 Euro's and they are pretty tight with their valuations.

If you caught the auction on ebay a couple days ago, a base model automatic sold for $24000 in the US (San Diego). So its not just Europe either.

Betcha feel a lot richer now with your herd of 8's there Dragon.

As crazy as it seems, automatic are bringing that kind of euros as well.....check Autoscout24 and ooyyo in different countries in Europe. It seems like it happened overnight!!!!

Lol, calm down guys, not talking about pristine cars or ks8. Looking for cars that need repair or restoration, sometimes the cost of repair far exceeds the value of the car if done by a shop especially on 8 series. Those are the cars I am looking for, lets not get off track here....

I think people are just commenting on the prices spiking in the last two years. They are certainly starting to gain some recognition and value in greater Europe.

    This one:

Parts cars are selling for 6000 Euros. Sometimes more. You could probably get this delivered to Baltimore for $400. Roll on roll off another $1000 to Europe, plus tax and you have a runner for less than a parts car.

Thanks, there were couple locally within last several months for 3 to 4k but did not want to mess with shipping...
Were finding pretty good examples in EU not nearly that expensive in restorative condition...
