    Lucky day at the pic-a-part

Found a surprisingly good complete set of graphite interior trim from a 98 528, dirty but should clean up well. Scored it for $30

Also, they had a set of 20 inch staggered Style 32s w/tires. They are powdercoated black and in semi-rough condition. We negotiated them down to $350 for the set. Friend is heading back there now to grab them for his e60 535.

Amazed at the condition it's in after I gave it a good clean. center console needs a polish and then I'll transfer it to the old plastic base.

Nice score! I just did this to mine as well. It looks much better than the wood imho.

You will be much better off just cleaning up the plastic base on that one. There is a huge double-stick foam adhesive behind the plastic that secures the trim to the base and it's a nightmare to separate, especially without breaking it. I did this recently with some high polished sand trim and it didn't go that well. Nice score though! I got mine from Germany for roughly the same price shipped.

I'll give cleaning it a shot. It's seriously pretty gross. Crumbs, sticky crap, tar in between the ashtray. I may try to let the center console sit out in the sun and see if it helps loosen the adhesive or try a heat gun.

How did your trim shipped from Germany for so cheap!?!

You might try soaking it in some warm water with dawn to see if it cleans it.

I found the trim on ebay.de for like $70 shipped, then it didn't show up for like 6 weeks, so the guy refunded me, but said if it did show up, to pay back half, which is exactly what happened.

I have used this even on the outside of the car and no harm
done to the paint works very good. Also I noticed your ashtray trim has come apart, what will
you be using to set it back. I ask because mine is the same way don't want to use something that won t hold.
