Hello,
Yesterday my 325i (2005) would crank but not remain idling. I worked through diagnostics and switched the fuel relay with the horn relay. It then cranked and idle for probably 15 secs and then stopped again. Further attempts yielded the original results. Did I just blow two relays?
I may have also missed something. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Aeric
How many miles on the car? Do you know if and when the Fuel Pump has been replaced? Have you checked the Fuel Pressure? And codes present? AutoZone and O'Reilly's rent (for free) pressure gauges for testing fuel pressure. If it is determined you need to replace your Fuel Pump, it's a 30 minute job. I could even help you with it.
Try banging on the right side of the gas tank while someone cranks the engine and see if it runs. If it does your fuel pump is dead.
