M50tu megasquirt

I have a 94 325is with a m50tub25 that I have built an adapter harness for, following goathumpers thread. I have run into a couple problems.

I'm not getting any tach reading on my computer as I'm cranking. Idk if that's normal or I have something in the wrong spot. I have jp1 pins 1 and 2 jumpered, and j1 pins 5 and 6 jumpered. There is also xg1 and xg2 that are jumpered. Not sure if I have to remove that one.

Also it seems every time I plug the adapter harness into the factory harness it keeps the main relay powered. I'm assuming I have the diode backwards. But I have the banded end facing pin 26. Not sure why it's constantly receiving 12v.
