    metale's extremely ordinary E46

    Hi guys.

Just bought this E46 from my aunt, as she just downgraded to a 2014' 1 Series. It's an early 2002 320d, diesel, 150hp with a 5 speed manual. Completely stock until now.

The car's history includes a blown turbo. The good news is I know the maintenance history since bought new, and the car performes very well and has great mpg.

The car has had a gremlin on the gearbox for quite some time, in which until the gearbox reaches temperature, if I engage 5th gear the lever would then rest bellow 5th gear instead of bellow 3rd gear (above 4th). This has been taken care of this past week, along with limiters installed on the RTABs, and alligment and fixing the windshield washer pump (it was just clogged).

Before allignment front camber was maxed by knocking out the pin on the strut mounts, but that only toke me from ~-0.3º to ~-0.5º. Got my first mod installed too, a front sway bar from the M3 - 26mm comparing to the stock 24mm.

I'll have to grab the camera and go shoot some pics one of these days. I'll leave some quick ones bellow. The E36 on the pics is mine too, my go-kart Plans for the future include E90 wheels, ZHP shift knob and not much more, since this will be my main daily driver.

    Cheers

Hello - congrats on the new purchase. I've always been a big fan of the E46 platform. I've attached a helpful link below if you're going to be doing the maintenance on the car yourself; with step-by-step guides of the procedures. Please let us know if you have any questions or need suggestions on future parts. Best of luck!
