Amazing what a little breeze can do..............

So, I took my 1990 750il out for spin on the freeway. 75MPH and it runs great! Wait, what was that? Power loss, can't maintain the speed, car seems to be bogging down intermittently. Start return trip, same thing, can't maintain constant speed. Start gathering information. Does cruise work? YES!!, maintains speed perfectly using cruise control. Probably something to do with accelerator pedal, but at slower speeds in town works great. I mentally prepare for a drawn out and likely expensive troubleshooting session. Walk into house ready to get the Bentley manual to figure this out, walk by the TV and Noon news is on, weather guy is reporting 70-80 MPH Northerly wind gusts. Yep, going out was headed North, coming back of course, South. So I was slowed down on my North bound trip, sped up on the southbound leg. I live in the desert, so no trees or grass to let me know there's a strong wind blowing. First ever cheap fix!!!!

The desert is so used to blowing wind that anything "loose" has been moved already, lol..
