    Misfire codes

When i put the car on the computer at autozone. It gave me misfire codes. So they suggested fuel pump change. It did not work. Most of the time when i press the gas before it revs it almost stalls. During winter i had to keep it alive by constantly pressing the gas until a little warm. Usually when warm it does not happen as often. Can anyone suggest something as i do not have money to try each code issue. It had 139000miles. Thanks

My bet is a vacuum leak. I know that sounds like a broken record and we've all heard/read it too many times, but IMNSHO it is the single most common problem with any fuel injected engine. Every EFI engine has to have correct info sent to the ECU so that the correct amount of fuel is provided. Garbage in, garbage out, right?

So tell us all how you've been convinced that this is not a vacuum leak problem, it sure sounds like it to me...

I agree with Honolulu. It is most likely a vacuum leak or also check if it's due to a weak ignition coil.

It sounds to me like a vacuum leak as well. Quit taking your car to autozone. All it's gotten you is us less money in your pocket and a questionable fuel pump.

P codes can be very misleading. If you need a scan, get it done by someone with a BMW scanner or buy a scan tool.
