    Hood Vents for E36, E46, E9x

I've designed a number of hood vents for popular BMW track cars and have been offering them on a couple of forums. Applications include E36 coupes, E46 M3s, E46 non-M (which uses the E36 vent), and E9x Ms. There is also a center vent available for E46s.

The vents were designed to bring efficiency to the cooling system while providing front downforce by evacuating high pressure air under the hood. Both function and form were considered in the design process, and the vents compliment the lines of the car.

Water temperatures can drop as much as 15 degrees Fahrenheit on a warm day. For cars with adjustable rear wings, it may be necessary to add more angle to compensate for the additional front downforce for optimal balance.

Vents ship flat and in bare unfinished aluminum. They can be bent by hand to the desired angle. They can be mounted above (with supplied rivets) or below the hood, and it is recommended to paint the vents to your desired finish.

    Typical installation package includes:

    • Full set of installation instructions
    • Hood Vents
    • (25) 1/8″ aluminum pop rivets in black
    • Cutting templates

We have E9x vents available on the website. They may also work on the PTG widebody.

You guys still in business? My wife ordered me some E36 vents a few weeks ago and they still haven't arrived. She also never got an order confirmation other than the paypal confirmation of payment. She tried the contact us section of your page and never heard back.

I've been in the same situation since Nov 29th with zero communication what-so-ever about what the hold up might be. I don't mind waiting on parts but FFS, let customers know what's up if there's going to be a delay like this.

I got in touch with them via facebook this afternoon (they responded within a few minutes). I was told they ran out of E36 vents and just got a new shipment in on the 31st so shipping confirmations will be going out today.
