Hi all
I'll try to keep it short, basically clock spring failed, bought completely new szl unit, replaced it, used winkfp to update zusb and vin.
Reset steering angle sensor to get dsc working
Since fitting I have code 94ac system time error in szl
Tried using tool32 and ista to restart system time but neither work.
I have read that if the stored system time in the replacement module is higher than the current system time it won't work... Can the module be completely wiped or is there anything else I can do or do I need another module?
Thanks
Graeme
1. Program new SZL with similar or older ZUSB (really should not use "update'')
2. Code SZL (NCS)
3. Set system time
4. Clear faults
When I said I bought a completely new szl, i should of worded that differently, it's from another car! New to me but not new, so it will already have system time still logged in the module from that car.
Or does your reply still apply?
Thanks
Graeme
When you say code szl in NCS expert can you elaborate? I have the software but not familiar with it, I have coded the vin onto the szl using winkfp, what is it I need to code exactly using NCS?
Sorry this is a learning curve for me
Graeme
I have bought another module and having the same issue. I use winkfp to change the vin and update zusb. Then set steering angle. Then I try to start system time and it won't do it.
Am I missing a vital part of reprogramming or coding the module?
I read if the system time in the module is greater than the cars system time it won't work end of story. Is this true?
Thanks
Graeme

First of all, thank you very much for all your useful old posts. My vehicle is a 6.45ci from 10/2003. The "system time" in the SGM-SIM , SFZ , SZL and TMFA modules is corrupted due to the update. It's in solid condition as I haven't updated the TMBF module. Would you recommend that I update the rest as well? Or is the old sp-datens a must? I couldn't find the old sp-datens. I would be very happy if you could help. Thank you.
