hey guys im trying to wire a ms3x to my e36 using a m52 cam position sensor when i look at wiring diagrams if find the cam position sensor goes to DME pins 41 43 64 65. 41 is shield 64 is ground, discription for both pins 43 and 65 says cam position,
pin 65 goes to pin 1 on cam position connector yellow wire
pin 43 goes to pin 3 on cam position connector brn wire
pin 64 goes to pin 2 on cam position connector blk wire ( sensor ground
im 95% sure this is a hall effect type sensor so one of the wires pin 1 or 3 should get a 12 or 5v feed and signal should be returned on the other wire
any thoughts greatly apprected

Hi. I just wired up an MS3Pro to my M73 engine. The cam sensor on that engine was a hall-effect sensor, but I had to run a 1K pull-up resistor to 12V to get the MS3Pro to read anything. The power wire going into the sensor did not act as a pull-up.
