DIY changing instrument cluster bulbs. Battery ground must be disconnected @ battery?

Is there a way to disconnect the ground under the hood? I don't want to lift my seats up. I understand if you pull the steering wheel with the battery still connected the SRS will stay lit forever...I don't want that. I will pull the steering wheel and then pull the cluster...

I need to replace the gas gauge bulb, but I am certain I will replace the temp gauge bulb to while I'm in there.

Look at the front of the rear seat passenger side. There is a plastic cover, remove that, remove the bolt, remove the ground cable from the bolt, battery disconnected
