Looks like an easy enough fix...until the second and third level effects of the damage are known, and that wont be until after you take things apart. So it really depends on how cheap you can get the X3 for, and how much you think you will have to pay to get everything fixed. Weigh that against an X3 of the same year and similar miles and options.
In the end, my guess is whatever minimal savings you may realize will not be enough to justify the effort needed to resurrect this X3 from becoming a parts car.
