So, there was a older ipod adapter made by Monster in my car when I bought it. I'm having some electrical issues so I decided to pull out this unit since I'm not using it and I don't know what it was tapped into. Anyways... I removed it... and ended up being more than I bargained for... it ran under the sill plate all the way to the trunk, where it was tied into a unit in the trunk... now that I pulled the unit out there are multiple connectors that don't go to anything... is there something that was taken out or were all these wires part of the factory harness and only get used if there's other options on the car? See pics...

Also, if anyone has a need for this Monster kit and would pay for shipping I'd be glad to give it to anyone... seems like a pretty intense system... just for an ipod adapter.
Btw, the electrical demon I'm trying to chase down is that the brake lights won't go off... ever... replaced the brake pedal switch already... any ideas??? there were two cut off connectors in the trunk that I didn't recognize too... maybe part of the problem? see pics...

Your links don't work, but the iPod adapter was likely plugged into the provisions for a CD changer (assuming that all of the wiring looked stock). As for the brake lights, without putting my own eyes on it, really can't tell except to say that a fault code may be being thrown. Do a scan with a BMW scanner.
