I have a 325I with 180K miles. I have replaced fuel filter and fuel pump. No help. When engine is cold, the acceleration seems fine. But once it warms up, I experience major hesitation on acceleration, mostly early in speeding up. But feel the hesitation ...feels like starving for fuel. No check engine light at all. Checked for vacuum leaks, nothing. Mass Air Flow was replaced and looks good as well.
Could I have bad plugs, coils possibly? Missing? But wouldn't that throw a check engine when that happens?
I had the alternator replaced and this started the next day after it was replaced. Not sure if that would have anything to do with this issue or not?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
I'm curious to ask you.....If when after you start the engine, let it run a few minutes, and then punch the gas peddle to the floor and then immediately pull your foot off the gas peddle, did you hear a 'hesitation' between foot to floor and an expected instant rise to rpm?
Just curious. Not that it means anything...............
