LED taillights! (with a fast-flash on hard stops)
I was led to post this from Mpowered02's thread(s) on the LED replacement subject...
Anyway, I'm interested in LED brake lights for my E36 ti, but I'd also like to have the fast flash at first to draw attention. My car/brake set up stops very quickly, and the tendency for tailgaters these days always has me leery of (another) rear-ending. I see the fast flash on high-end cars as well as motorcycles. I like the idea and it does attract attention.
So, if I just replace the brake bulbs, there should be no issue as far as I can tell. I have no OBC or other fancy stuff (not even a radio) so I guess that will work fine. But the flashing at first to draw attention; or perhaps fast flash if I REALLY get on the brakes, and no flash if I just press normally, would be super-cool. I was thinking a simple inertia switch would accomplish this but was wondering if others were working on something similar...
Thanks!
EDIT=> I just checked realoem and it does not list the "trade" numbers for the bulbs; just wattage and the BMW part number. So, anyone who has the trade numbers (like 1156, 1157 etc.) for the bulbs so I don't have to open up the light housings just to get these numbers, I would appreciate it!
I also want to go LED for the third brake light at the top of the window. Why not?
