Best oil for ZHP in CA?

I've been researching which I oil to put inside my BMW ZHP. There's so much back-and-forth between which oils the right one I honestly cannot decide. There's a list that says there's certain BMW approved oil's but many people say that some are and some aren't, basically just a very long debate on all the forums when searching this up.

Is it mobile 0W 40 oil Castrol 5W-30 or is it something else entirely? Most of thee don't say LL-01 or BMW approved.

I no longer see any BMW certification on Mobil's euro 0w40, but the formula has not changed. More than likely, Mobil or BMW did not renew the endorsement. It is still very good.

Anything synthetic should be fine. The actual viscosity of the oil varies among manufacturers - so a 0w40 from one brand might be the same as a 5w30 from another.

Keep in mind the larger the delta between the hot and cold viscosity, the more frequently you should change the oil.

In addition to the oils that carry a LL01 certification, you can use anything that meets ACEA A3/B3 and that also has an HTHS specification greater than 3.5.

Any synthetic oil will do, but it's best to pick a good quality oil. Mobil 1 0w-40 or BMW approved oil. Mix it up with the Everglide EGS oil additive too to strengthen the oil. The overheating and noise issues were all solved by the moly-graphene oil treatment formula.
