    E32 hydraulic leak at ABS

I know this is a common spot for leaking, but I washed the area well several times to locate leak and its not the usual leak. Which in searches always talked about lines under the master cylinder, etc. My leak appear to be coming from the ABS block itself at the top. Has anyone rebuilt the ABS pump? Seems like something I should not really venture into.

Side note: My rear driver EDC/LAD shock is still leaking just a little, nothing like it was before. And now I have this leak and I am back to nearly a quart of fluid on the ground per day!

Cannot remember of a case that there was a leak. BBA Reman seems to sell reman units, if needed https://us-shop.bba-reman.com/
We only replaced once a ASC+T unit on a 750, for that we needed a crawfoot socket wrench. Maybe you first try to retighten the connections.

My bad, its not the ABS module. Its the brake booster system. Located right under the master cylinder, is that correct?

The brake booster and master are bolted together, and the booster has a weep hole, usually there it leaks, master6 has a repair service for that https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/m...300752-master6

So it drops probably from the brake booster down onto the ASC+T /ABS

Hmmm, okay. Not brake booster then. I looked up some pics, it has to be the ASC+T unit. But the pics of the unit I see do not seem to match what I have, then again its really hard to see down there. Lines do enter from top with at least one capped off (not used). It seems to be leaking where two of the body parts mate together. That is, the lines that enter the top are dry so are any lines on the master cylinder. So nothing is leaking from that point up. I washed it up again. I will have to make it a day project next week time permitting. Seems like a bit of work to get into there.

edit: Finally found a great pic. The red arrow points to where mine leaks. That is the spot that gets wet with fluid right after cleaning. None of the lines above are leaking, they still are very clean and dry. The master cylinder would be further above this and also clean/dry.

I never did resolve the leak and the vehicle was sold a couple years ago.

Against the hydraulic pressure in the braking system? Not a chance.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
