What are people doing for a header on H sport classed cars in BMWCCA Club Racing? Specifically I am talking about an e46 m3 and the sport rule that says;

"Exhaust manifolds/headers must remain stock, as deliveredfrom the factory to the US market for the year and model caras raced, except for newer model cars equipped with catalyticconverters integral to the exhaust manifold which are subject tomodification as detailed below.

b. Catalytic converters may be removed. In cars equipped withan exhaust manifold containing a catalytic converter, theexhaust manifold may be modified from the leading edge of thefactory catalytic converter backward, and the converterremoved."

Has anyone had success cutting the cat out of the exhaust manifold? The European e46 M3 header seems to be the simple answer (it has no cat), but the rules do not say it can be used.
