Hello,
I bought 730D from 2004 half year ago.
I am facing a big issue last times.
At morning car always start without any problem. I can drive to work, after 8 hours of work I can easily start up and drive for shopping or something else. Coming back after 20 minutes and car do not want to crank at all. I found that there is no connection with DDE at all... Next day or after couple of hours it is again starting without any problem.
I thought that it is related to ENGINE heat, but it is not so obvious.
Last time when it didnt started I drained whole battery siting 1 hour with ignition ON and trying to solve the issue with ISTA/INPA.
Next day I have connected power from another car via cables. It cranked but 1 or 2 rotations and there were still not enough power. We've waited couple of minutes with cables connected to load my battery, and then again it didnt even crank (no connection with DDE).
So I think somewhere the cables, relays, or fuses are getting HEAT ?
Battery is now fully loaded and still same problems.
Alternator is loading between 14 - 14.5v
Here are error codes from ISTA when car do not want to crank (no connection to DDE)
I've read some voltages from CAS when there is no connection to DDE
Below voltages on car running
Are those voltages on wakeup line not too small ? below 11v ?
I will check volrates on wakeup today when it will start without a problem and compare if they are higher.
Battery is a half year 110AH 900AMP Yuasa. Registered with correct values into PM
I've already changed Power Module, Battery temperature sensor
I've ordered also main DDE relay (this blue one), and waiting for it.
Also Starter has been regenerated.
Edit:
Voltage on wake up when car is starting without a problem (today morning) was arround 12v.
When it is not starting and wake up is below 11v, voltage measured directly on battery is 11.9. After I unplug ground from battery, Voltage on battery is 12.5v.
something is draining 0.6v somewhere after "heat" ? or half year battery is too weak under stres ? but when car is cold it is starting properly...

It could be the IVM.
If you are handy, take it apart and see if you can find cracked solder joints. If so, re-solder them should fix the problem.
