The new ones are not slotted or drilled just twice the size, rotors and calipers.
i was told that with theses hawk track pads, slotted and drilled was not necessary, more for looks
the braking is amazing
That's what I heard as well
heavy abuse is what's up. Running a turn track all out is sick! another track day 8/29
i just need to get the steering column figured out.
hoping for a steering wheel for b-day then the seat
the e36 on boost with the right gear is too much fun on a turn track
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
trying to get back to track 8/24
Is that an adjustable steering column? If it is a nut or bolt seems to be loose. Have you followed the column right down to the floor? Then followed to the rack in the engine bay? Have someone look at the rack and steering shaft setup in engine bay while you rock it back and forth. Maybe you can find out what's happening that way.

I agree, looks like the female /housing is too large for the shaft
they had shims and crap to take up space
might be mix matched parts/rigged . Gonna get second opinion this week, fabricate or replace column
Looks like unsafe for Thursday track day
Changed the guibo on steering column and made some adjustments at the top of column.
nice and tight and ready for the Nardi steering wheel that my wife ordered for b-day
thursday night turn track here I come ( with brakes this time) . 10 psi prior 13 psi this time
feeling blessed
Anyone have recommended settings for BC coilovers for track?
Track rescheduled due to heavy rain. Talk about blue balls
after the track time I don't desire to even drive the car on the street , especially after the last vette i tried to race showed me his police badge and stated I don't want to race, lol. At the time it wasn't lol

Gotcha
anouther great night at the turn track last night
13 psi was nice with the big break kit making it possible to stop
question, are you guys staying off the rev limiter?
i seam to be on it at the track quite a bit
whats the feedback on changing the oil after 1 or 2 track days. Each day 3-4 , 20 minutes seasons of beating on the car
also the high performance brake fluid, when to change
There is no need to be bouncing off the rev limiter on the road course especially with a GT35R and mild cams. You probably aren't gaining anything shifting past 6500 rpm.
Changing the oil at that frequency should be fine as long as you are keeping the oil temps in check. The higher the oil temp the faster the oil breaks down. A multi viscosity oil, such as 10W40, uses additives to turn the 10 weight oil into a 40 weight oil at temperature. The additives beak down with higher temps and the hot viscosity eventually decreases.
You should change your brake fluid at the beginning of the season with a high boiling point DOT4 fluid. Racing fluids have high boiling points but often more hydroscopic than normal DOT4 fluids. Depending on the heat you are putting into the brakes you may have to flush the brakes much more often than once a season. If your pedal feel changes during a track day you should flush the fluid as once the fluid has been over heated the firm pedal won't come back. I've had to do a flush mid track day.

Thanks for reply
the motor is with stock cams, precision 6266, e85
running mobil1 full syn 5/30 , what's your suggestion on oil, FYI , hot as hell (almost) in florida
no oil temp quage, sounds like that should be a priority
maybe due to the turbo size, and later spool, I find myself running second gear high through some corners rather than 3rd taking a bit to pull hard
i do need to focus on smoother driving and not as hard maybe
chikinhed, turn tracks are your deal?
