It will be great if a member can help me. My DME got damaged by water. After doing some reading there are some alternatives.
1.- Transplant: Flash 29BL802, and EEPROM 95320W3 to used good working DME. Is this possible, what tools do I need? Does it need to be reprogrammed?
2.- Use BDM to clone to a good used DME. What is BDM or wich is the one to get. Is this true?
3.- Send it to be repaired to somebody else. What is the cost, what needs to be sent?
Everything works on the car but it wont start. INPA does not list the DME under UIF list, it does not communicate with the DME either. I can read all the other modules.
Attached photos of DME board, Outside DME Case, UIF Report.
Thanks in advance for your time.

Is this the one damaged by water?
I see a burned coil driver instead.. not so much water.
1. This method should work, but you have to know what you're doing while soldering, and to make sure your research is complete, or else you'll have trouble. Technically it will work (even without programming after), but is risky to original dme and replacement.
2. BDM will do it, yes. If you are looking to do this yourself, you have a lot of research ahead of you. It will require the bdm tool, bdm frame, bdm spring pins, and some harnesses for powering up the DME. But the DME circuits need to be functional.
3. If your original DME does not work at all, yes, you will need to have someone match the replacement MS45 DME to your car's CAS system.

Tanks for your replies.
328 Power 04:
1. I have removed chips like the external flash (AM29BL802CB). I use a Hot Air Station. Do you think it will work with MS45.1?, they say is different from MS45.
2. I just got the BDM100 Tool(clone). It came with an Italian program (SimSports). I do not see the Siemens MS45.1 or MS45 option. Do you know which is the Program I should use? Can the cable leads be Soldered directly to the DME Pads?
Thanks.
You can solder directly to dme pads if you want yes.
I am not sure about BDM100, as I use an older Galletto v54 I have. I just choose the Motorola profile for the processor on the board (MCxx or MPCxx CPUs).
You should not mix MS45.1 with MS45.0. They are different yes. Slightly different programming too. They are easy to find, so get the one that came for your car so you don't run into trouble.

I have already read the files from the ECUs and CAS. It will be great if THE ISN from the Good used ECU be inserted in the CAS2 of the car. Here are the files, please change the extension from "pdf" to "rar"
Here is the CAS Eeeprom file that was not included in previous post. Please change the extension from "pdf" to "rar". Thanks.
Your files that you read with BDM do not look right. Some strange scrambling going on. (yes I renamed to rar, and extracted)

All of them?
Yes, all internal and external flash.
Example, the data at offset 0x1F920 of your external should say "REGENSBU" in ASCII. Also right after it should have version description, hardware numbers, ecu type, in ASCII text. Yours is completely scrambled. Original "bricked" and replacement.
Something is not right with your read.

Thanks. I will read them again tomorrow. Maybe I should tick off "encryption". Lets see what happens
Damned North Korean hackers...........
They really want you to tick off the encryption, because it really goes nuts when it's ticked off.
Next thing you know, it'll be swapping your data at offset from Regensbu to Ox1F920 in ASCII. Then you'll have to pay a ransom to get your data back, and they'll use your money to pay for more missiles.

I'm gonna come and revisit the thread when you guys start speaking English again.
Just an update. 328 Power 04, thanks for trying to help me. Luckily I updated the BDM software, and was able to correctly read the memories, then using L.A. wonderful hack the ISN and Vin where changed in the modules. Thanks again for your time.
I am going to consider this matter closed.
