I 'm doing a complete brake job on my X3. One of the questions I was asked while searching for pads and rotors was whether My veh. was an F25 or an E83. Can anyone help this "newby"? Thanx!

What year is your X3? 2011+ is F25, any and all before that is E83.

Oops! I forgot to mention the year! Mine is an 07. So thanks for the info. My first BMW so I'm a little ignorant about them. Made the switch from Lexus on this one and my wife really likes the sportier handling.

"Sporty" is a good word for it.
When you have the wheels off changing the brakes, check for broken coils and leaking shocks. Visually inspect all suspension bushes for cracking or tearing. Check all the ball joints for looseness.
