Been searching the web sick, going through multiple wiring diagrams, but without luck.
Problem is, the connector from my oil level sensor has gone MIA, therefore I need the wire colors/pinout for the sensor.
Car is 2000 730d 142kw, though I doubt it would differ from other engines.
Thanks in advance
I'll post something when I have time later tonight.
Thanks a bunch, looking forward to it!
Pin 1 is oil temp signal to DDE, blue with green stripe.
Pin 2 is ground, brown with green stripe.
Let me know if you need any more info.
I guess the diesel indeed has a different wiring. I have 3 pins and none of these colors.
Thanks for you effort, much appreciated!!
Sorry, I misread it as "oil temperature sensor" (they are also a combined sensor on gasoline cars).
The pinout for the level sensor is:
Pin 1: Power from fuse 22 (switched with ignition position 2), green with white stripe.
Pin 2: Ground, brown.
Pin 3: Signal to DDE, grey with brown stripe.
That matches perfectly, thank you so much!
