Just saw that there's a good chance of a Chelsea v Dean tandem... hoping for it so I can see them battle.
Anyone else getting tired of multiple people per event having bye runs in top 32? (5 in this case)

I didn't watch qualifying, but did watch most of pro2. I loved the guy who debeaded fully, launched his tire off, and just stayed on it and finished his run. He ended up winning that battle too

did they change the tire debeading rule? or is it not a thing for Pro2? he should have had a zero, or at least i thought thats what would happen.

This year they aren't "doing" 0s anymore. Plus they said that as long as you finish the run with no issues, they won't count the tire escaping your car. I feel like it makes sense but on paper it sounds ridiculous.

Watch 2016. The first entry is a big wall (its an oval track). You can see where the wall was dug out all along the track.

Alright so I watched pro2 to root for the Vegas guys. Appears they had bad luck.

Not sure what happened to Danny George.

George K in the 370z lost damn near every gear in his trans and got knocked out in top 16

Bear Rzesnowiecky didn't qualify in his E46. Maybe due to lack of testing since the build got done last minute

Bummer. Looking forward to pro1 today. If I'm honest I don't really like how Chelsea's car looks in drift and how every ebrake makes the car bobble seemingly out of control.
JTP & Vaughn Gittin's stangs look much more stable.

you are allowed to debead now, but you are not allowed to fix it. So, if he would have debeaded on his lead run he wound not have been able to fix it and therefore not able to start the chase run so he would have lost. Basically this was the only situation that he could have gotten away with it.

He would slow way down at the end of outer zone 1 then coming down the banking he would hammer it and just pull away from everybody as they slowed down reacting to him slowing down. Nobody could make that gap back up across the bump in the center and transfer. Thats what it looked like to me anyways.

Just re-watched the video after reading your comment...
It seems on the bank he does lots of hydro with clutch work then on turn 2 he does left foot braking with no hydro/clutch. Is this due to the incline of the bank? (never drifted on a bank that big and hardly ever watch in car footage)
I'm surprised there is such a clear difference of technique between the two turns.
