So a while ago I bought this little guy, a 1993 325is for $400. Sweet deal. Next thingI did was strip the interior and whatever else and brought it to the local CAT scale and read 2700lbs. Even better, now it's almost a hollow shell lol, still has power doors, locks and heater core, oem seats too.
I was originally going to do a twin turbo build but that fell through after I purchased twin 2jz turbo's that seemed like a good deal until they needed rebuild. So my next move was the purchase of an HX35W, also, What DME is this? It does not look like a 413?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Great find!
You might want to do a compression test to make sure the head is good.
Sweet deal! First step, add lightness...next step, turbo. I like your way of thinking.
I did a couple things over the weekend, mainly waiting game stuff as I wait for other parts to come in like flanges an o2 sensor, and while I wait to order more stuff like a head gasket and head studs, W.A.R. chip, etc... So in the mean time, I did a fresh rebuild on the turbo, coated the gaskets in copper, installed/routed the oil feed and return. Also I got injectors from the junkyard (Seimens Deka 6900371, 440cc/min 42lbs/hr) along with the orange Bosch injectors, all from Volvo's.
I am concerned about where I tapped the return though. As I accidently went through what looked to be a baffle and hit something else, not sure what yet. I'll look closer later when I install the head gasket and head studs. Do I need to be concerned?

Are you going to use copper spacer or strictly HG for lower comp
is it just me or does anyone else stare at least 10 seconds at these square shaped tires in the first post when entering this thread
Another weekend, more progress, got everything mocked up before finalizing the welds and placement. I had ro cut a good gole in my hood 😂 I may cover it with fiberglass or something, I'm not sure yet. I placed the wastegate where the A/C compressor used to be.
I started it up and I'm having issues. I think part of it is timing since I had to pull off the crank pulley to remove the A/C compressor bracket but I had a rough idle like a vacuum leak almost and had a hard time getting it to start. It was running, the last time but the RPM's would go between 1200 and 500 and then die. No intercooler pipes are hooked up yet, not tuned yet either. Then the next time I turned the key, it would not even turn over. I'm completely lost.

You have the tune installed ? Or factory ?

Figured out the no start, it was an issue with the shift selector, a little switch was stuck, but I am still having an idle issue, boincing between 500-1200

My thinking is it has to be a vacuum leak

Ordered some 3in exhaust pipe, 2 O2 bungs and a muffler today and last night I tore apart the center vent and made a guage cluster

A little more progress today, not much, it will be cleaned up more, things are slow right now but it's better than having an ugly bent metal hole in the hood

The intercooler is mounted and the bumper is reinstalled, it got too dark to finish with the intercooler though so I will continue adjusting it in the daylight when I get more free time
So awhile ago I contacted Miller Performance about what W.A.R. chip I should end up purchasing due to the model of my DME is not listed as an option, I got a reply saying this was not my DME. I contacted them again and it's been about a week with no reply.
