    97 Z3 window gap

hey all I just bought a 97 Z3 about a week or so ago and have a issue with the windows meeting up with the rubber seals on the top. I replaced them tonight as the old ones were pretty dried out and looking pretty ratchet. when I roll both door windows up there is a small gap on both sides and not sure how to fix this.
    any help is appreciated

Congrats on your purchase Michael! Welcome to the forum. Regarding the window gap, what you'll have to do is take off the door trim. Since you have a 97, I'm assuming there is no airbag so should just be one screw right where the handle is that you need to remove. Once you remove that, you should be able to carefully pry off the door trim. After the door trim is off, carefully peel back the foam which will reveal the window regulator. There is a long bolt there where you can adjust to make the window roll up higher or lower. Attached below is a link to remove a door panel and a picture I drew to show you what bolt I'm talking about.

And watch out for speaker wires! As you remove the door trim, hold it close to the door, unplug speakers before moving door trim away from door. Otherwise, you can rip the speakers out of the trim panel.
