Iphone cable

Hi can anyone help me please. I have a 320d m sport f30 on a 2013 plate. When I plug my iPhone 6 cable into the USB port under the arm rest it doesn't connect properly. If I wiggle it about eventually it will work but it's very hit and miss. I am told by Bmw that the car does not support an iPhone cable (which I find very hard to believe). But when I bought the car I was told that I can plug my iPhone in, listen to music through it etc etc. can anyone help with this matter. Thanks

I had the exact same issue on my 135i and even bought an adapter; which didn't help. I think your car should have an aux connection? If so, just buy that cable and use that for music...kind of annoying, I know!
