So, simply put this would be my first BMW purchase ever. I have been looking at all the for sale sites, reading up on each model and am interested in getting some feedback from anyone on which car I should really consider?
I am currently driving a 2006 F-350 for my daily driver. Getting tired of not driving a car, and a car with the "M" on the front is what I want!
The truck is for the boat.
I also want something that is not going to kill me when I have to repair something. I know, this is sometimes unavoidable.
I want a strong performer and have found myself switching back and forth between an M3, M5 or a 760. Now, the price is a factor, but not the determining factor. I am successful enough to buy new, but not really excited about riding depreciation down over the first 5 years of a new BMW. So, used is just fine.
Any suggestions on getting something that me and the Mrs's. can really really enjoy? M3, M5 (choice for me) or 7 Series for the whole family trip scenario? I am a bigger guy so room is important. I am 5'11" so big in the horizontal department. Sorta between a linebacker and a 42" waist
Since the M5 is such a great car with a great history and personally fits my overall criteria, what year should I be looking? How many miles? Who should I have reviewed carefully during the pre-purchase inspection? And what are the items that will bite me in the ass that I need to watch out for?
Obviously, this is a lot of questions, but I am looking for direction.
Also, I am open to anyone knows of a low mile, great shape vehicle that has not been run at the track?
Thanks for helping if you have time.
I will move the thread to the 2010+ M5 & M6 (F10, F12, F13) forum
