How to turn off aftermarket LEDs?

I bought these on ebay, one side is hooked up to negative on battery. the other wire im hooking up to a fuse that should only turn on when ignition is in the car like the seat warmers or radio. for some reason when i tap into these fuses, the led still turns on even though car is not on. any ideas?

The +12V lead you've found is getting power when the car is turned off. I'd use a voltmeter to look for a different +12V lead.

Not sure it matters, but I'd tap into chassis ground instead of the -12V battery terminal.
