Cockpit lighting E36

Hello Friends!
im back again with another problem to tackle!
my speedometer lighting doesn't seem to be working either is any lights on my cockpit buttons seem to be illuminating. Everything else works perfectly fine in my cockpit.. I tried looking at the fuses all seems to be fine. My dimmer switch seems to be hot, I tried to switch it around with another dimmer switch but doesn't seem to go hot only my original one goes hot when the lights supposed to illuminate but with either dimmers I don't seem to be having lights in my cluster or buttons

I Would of thought bulbs at first but then all my lights don't work even the ones for the window buttons and climate control buttons and my headlight switch ?

Next will be to start tracing wires, so use those wiring diagrams I sent you.

Thanks everyone! Sorted it.. I had an after market cup holder with lights inside it.. I tore it apart and noticed one wire was loose and I think shorted the circuit! As soon as I disconnected the wire and taped it up lights fired back up!!! I'm so happy! First time I fix one of my own car problems LOOOOL
